CHEESE AND A CHEEKY WEE MOUSE (NURIA GARCÍA)

I have chosen a video of a cheese commercial which is very funny and which could be worked on with different levels and abilities of the groups.

With all the activities the main objective would be to work on oral expression.

With a group that had more grammar and vocabulary skills, I would give them 3 words: mouse, cheese, trap. And from those three words they could build different stories about what happens.

To work on oral expression, and different verb tenses, present (if it's a story that happens), past (if it's a story that has already happened) or conditional (if we limit ourselves to their capacity of deduction, what would have happened). This same exercise could be done with three pictures, without giving any words, and thus check not only the ability to tell, but also to revise the vocabulary.

Another possible activity would be for them to watch the whole video but without getting to the slogan, and to look for their own slogan for the advertisement (would any student guess the real slogan?).

These activities could lead to other activities to deepen the vocabulary (animals, food) or grammatical structures used. And of course to correct the errors detected during the realization of any of them.
