Level:

6th grade Primary School

Objectives:

To encourage students to be creative and use their imagination to tell a story. To improve oral expression.

Activities:

The task is supposed to be accomplished in three main activities.

Activity 1. The teacher shows the picture to the students and encourage them to make questions using "I wonder..."
"I wonder who is the girl". "I wonder what is she doing". "I wonder why is she like that".
Activity 2. Once their curiosity has come out, the teacher will give them four key words or expressions: deep sea - dangerous fish - holiday - no air in the oxygen bottle.

The students will have to explain if they consider these expressions are appropriate for the picture or, on the contrary, they don't fit in with the picture.
Activity 3: Once they have decided which elements are relevant for the story, all the students will have to create a story based on the picture and the key expressions. One of the students will start the story and the rest will continue with it.

Activity 4: When the story is completed, each one of the students should add a different ending and will tell it to the rest of the group.
